Ciscomani Concludes Productive District Week, Highlights Millions Secured for Pima and Pinal Counties

Tucson, AZ - U.S. Representative Juan Ciscomani wrapped up another successful district work week in Arizona's 6th Congressional District, highlighting millions of dollars in preliminary federal funding secured for critical community infrastructure projects in Pima and Pinal counties.

"Since day one in office, my focus has been on delivering meaningful results for Arizona's 6th District. That means listening to Arizonans, understanding their priorities, and fighting to return their tax dollars where they can make the greatest difference," said Congressman Juan Ciscomani. "This week, I witnessed the impact of these investments firsthand, from preparing students for well-paying careers, to reinforcing critical infrastructure in Pinal County, to hearing directly from healthcare professionals about their efforts to combat chronic diseases. These conversations inform my work in Washington, and I remain committed to transforming Southern Arizona's priorities into real results."

The congressman's week began at Pima Heart & Vascular, where he met with doctors and healthcare professionals to gain firsthand insight into the challenges confronting patients and providers in southeastern Arizona.

Congressman Ciscomani's continued support of local healthcare is commended by members of Pima Heart and Vascular, including Dr. Neil Gheewala.

"It was a pleasure to meet with Congressman Ciscomani to share the priorities we and other local healthcare providers see every day, as well as the concerns we hear firsthand from the patients and communities we serve," said Dr. Gheewala, Chief Medical Officer of Value-Based Care for Pima Heart and Vascular. "At Pima Heart and Vascular, our focus is on strengthening access to high-quality, independent cardiovascular care in the communities we serve. Achieving that mission requires strong partnerships at every level, especially federal policymakers who understand the challenges facing patients and providers. I am grateful to Congressman Ciscomani for his continued advocacy for healthcare in Arizona and his willingness to engage in our clinics to ensure patients throughout Southern Arizona have access to the cardiovascular care they need."

His week concluded at the Marana Chamber 2026 Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Luncheon, where he spoke to 200 attendees about the key role small businesses play in our economy and the importance of hiring military spouses.

"I have two military spouses in my Tucson District Office and they are trusted, reliable members of the team," Ciscomani said. "They know how to get the job done."

Between these events, Ciscomani visited Pima JTED to observe the transformative impact of career and technical education programs and to spotlight the $2.7 million in preliminary federal funding he secured for expanding these opportunities. This investment will equip students for high-demand careers and bolster Southern Arizona's skilled workforce.

Greg D'Anna, Pima JTED's Director of Public Relations, thanked Congressman Ciscomani for his efforts.

"Our Pima JTED Governing Board members and staff were pleased to host Congressman Juan Ciscomani and his team today to see the results of his hard work in securing $2.7 million in Federal appropriations for expanded job skills training here in southern Arizona," said D'Anna. "The Potoff Private Philanthropy Center for Technological Innovation will soon help us accommodate the increased demand for our industrial trades programs."

In Pinal County, Ciscomani spotlighted $1.6 million in preliminary federal funding for Pinal Airpark to launch construction of a new air traffic control tower. He has championed this project since his first year in Congress, working to meet the airpark's critical safety and operational needs while fostering continued economic growth in the region.

Pinal County Supervisor Stephen Miller expressed gratitude for the congressman for prioritizing this critical funding.

"Representative Ciscomani has led successful efforts in Congress to advance approval, design and construction of an air traffic control tower at Pinal Airpark to enhance aviation safety, strengthen military readiness, and drive job creation and economic growth throughout the region," said Miller. "We are deeply grateful for Representative Ciscomani's leadership and support in moving this critical project forward."

As the only member of the Arizona delegation serving on the House Appropriations Committee, Ciscomani has made bringing federal resources back to Arizona's 6th Congressional District a top priority. For Fiscal Year 2027, he has preliminarily secured $42.7 million for 20 Community Project Funding (CPF) requests across the district, building on the $60 million secured for 28 projects between FY2024 and FY2026.

The district work week underscored Ciscomani's unwavering commitment to delivering tangible results for communities throughout the 6th Congressional District by leveraging Community Project Funding where they have the most meaningful impact.
