PUBLIC NOTICE

Zion Wesley United Methodist Church Historic Landmark Designation Application

Notice is hereby given that the Historic Preservation Commission of Charles County, Maryland will hold a Public Meeting on July 8th, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. to consider the Historic Landmark Designation application for Zion Wesley United Methodist Church. The designation process is described in Article XXXI, Section 297-524 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. This meeting will be held virtually and is open to the public.

Approval of this landmark designation will formally acknowledge the site's historic importance, provide an additional layer of review to safeguard its integrity, and demonstrate Charles County's continued commitment to responsible stewardship of historic and cultural resources within the county.

The associated documents for this item will be available for inspection by June 24th, 2026, in the Department of Planning and Growth Management or online at:
