Associate Professor Leslie Kendrick represented Boise State at multiple international conferences in 2025, sharing evidence-based research and professional expertise with medical imaging educators and technologists across Latin America. Her work reflects the College of Health Sciences' commitment to advancing health sciences education through research informed practice and global collaboration.
In November, Kendrick presented at the Encontro de Profissionais da Radiologia do Ceará in Fortaleza, Brazil, delivering a 60-minute session focused on revisions to the eleventh edition of Radiographic Positioning and Related Anatomy, a widely used textbook she co-authored. The presentation examined the scientific and clinical evidence that guides updates to positioning methods, protocol standardization and anatomical emphasis, highlighting how modern imaging technology continues to shape the field.
Earlier in the fall, Kendrick also presented at the XIX Congreso of the Asociación Latinoamericana de Tecnólogos en Radiología in San José, Costa Rica. Her session explored the same textbook revisions, offering educators and technologists insight into how evidence based curriculum updates enhance diagnostic accuracy and educational clarity.
In addition, Kendrick presented on several critical topics shaping contemporary medical imaging. Her sessions addressed the current and future use of artificial intelligence in medical imaging, examining benefits such as improved diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency alongside challenges including algorithm bias, ethics and clinician trust.
