New Name Announced for Thorns & Fire Training Center in Hillsboro

RAJ Sports, owner of the NWSL's Portland Thorns and the WNBA's Portland Fire, recently announced that the teams' joint training center in Hillsboro will be called the Kaiser Permanente Performance Center.

Scheduled to open this year, the first-of-its-kind, dual purpose professional soccer and basketball complex is currently under construction at the corner of NE Aloclek Drive and NE Evergreen Parkway in Hillsboro.

The facility is intentionally designed around the needs of women athletes, including training, advanced sports medicine, and recovery and rehabilitation stations. Kaiser Permanente staff will also serve as team physicians for the Thorns and Fire players.

RAJ Sports says it will partner with Kaiser Permanente on impactful community programs that:
