A new Spanish-language content series explores what travelers can discover when a business trip leaves time to experience a destination.
What do you do when work takes you somewhere new and you suddenly have a little extra time?
That's the question behind 48 Horas con Delta, a new content series featuring Iván de Pineda, the Argentine television host and travel storyteller known for helping audiences discover destinations through history, culture and local perspective.
The series is rooted in a familiar travel reality: a business trip that leaves room to explore. An extra day before heading home. A free afternoon between meetings. A destination you've visited before, but never really experienced.
At the beginning of every episode, De Pineda introduces the journey with the same thought:
"Si viajas por trabajo y tenés unos días extras para conocer una ciudad, estos son los imperdibles."
Across eight U.S. destinations, he shares the places, neighborhoods and experiences that help travelers make the most of a short stay.
Rather than offering a traditional checklist of attractions, 48 Horas con Delta focuses on what gives each city its character.
In Atlanta, De Pineda explores the city's civil rights legacy, local neighborhoods and cultural landmarks.
In Boston, he traces the city's identity through its history, public spaces and world-renowned academic institutions.
In Miami, he highlights the communities, creativity and cultural influences that continue to shape one of the country's most dynamic destinations.
Other episodes take viewers to New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas and Kansas City, where the focus remains the same: helping travelers connect with a place beyond its most recognizable landmarks.
In New York, that means discovering neighborhoods like the West Village and experiencing the city from the High Line and the Hudson waterfront. In San Francisco, it means understanding the history behind the city's cable cars, waterfront and hills. In Seattle, it means exploring Pike Place Market, Capitol Hill and the city's maritime heritage. In Dallas and Kansas City, it means experiencing the local culture, food and traditions that define each community.
For De Pineda, whose career has been shaped by curiosity and exploration, the concept is simple: when travel creates an unexpected opportunity to discover somewhere new, even a few hours can be enough to see a destination differently.
And sometimes, all it takes is 48 hours.
