Roadway Repairs Scheduled on State Route 70 Near Pulga

Traffic Impacts to be Expected Next Week


BUTTE COUNTY - Caltrans is alerting motorists of some upcoming repairs on State Route 70 (SR 70) in the Feather River Canyon near 4 Trees Road in Butte County.

Beginning Monday, May 18 through Thursday, May 21, crews are scheduled to perform minor roadway repairs on the eastbound lane of SR 70 near Pulga.

Work is expected to occur under 24-hour traffic control with motorists experiencing delays of approximately 15 to 20 minutes through the construction zone.

The emergency repair work will include roadway excavation, paving, and striping to restore the roadway. Motorists are advised to plan for additional travel time, slow down in the construction zone, and use caution while traveling through the area.

Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to "Be Work Zone Alert" and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
