Marksheffel Road to close overnight Friday north of Dublin Boulevard

Marksheffel Road just north of Dublin Boulevard will close at 7 p.m. Friday, April 17 for drainage work requiring deep excavation across the roadway. The road is expected to reopen by noon on Saturday. All work is weather dependent.

Some construction noise is expected during overnight operations. Access to nearby businesses and Banning Lewis Ranch at Vista Cerro Avenue will remain open north of the closure. Dublin Boulevard will not be affected.

A signed detour route will direct Marksheffel Road drivers to use Woodmen Road, Powers Boulevard and Dublin Boulevard.

This work is part of a City project to improve the existing two-lane section of Marksheffel Road between North Carefree Circle and Dublin Boulevard. Improvements include expanding the roadway to two lanes in each direction with a center median, improved drainage, and new sidewalks and paths. Learn more at ColoradoSprings.gov/Marksheffel.
