Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong Meets with Columnist of the Tribune and Women's Rights Activist Alicia Wallace
On 26 November 2025, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, met with Alicia Wallace, a columnist of the Tribune and women's rights activist. Ambassador Yan introduced the outcomes of the recent Global Leaders' Meeting on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment held in Beijing, as well as China's practices and achievements in promoting the comprehensive development of women in the new era. The two sides exchanged views on gender equality and women's empowerment, public opinion in The Bahamas, as well as international and regional issues that both sides were interested in.
