July is Parks & Recreation Month!!

This month the West University Place Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating with the theme "Build Together, Play Together," for Parks and Recreation. All month long we'll be highlighting ways our community is stronger, more vibrant, and more resilient because of parks and recreation.

Together, we're building and maintaining sustainable parks and green spaces for current and future generations. Together, we're building thriving communities focused on health and well-being. Together, we're building high-quality programs and spaces accessible and inclusive for all residents of West University Place.

Below are some great community events:

July 4: Parade and Pool Party 9am-Noon Colonial Park Pool

July 9: Ice Cream on a Hot day 5:30-7:30pm Colonial Pavilion

July 16: Hotdogs on the Grills 5:30-7:30 pm Judson Park

July 26: Glow Party 7:30-9:30pm Colonial Park Pool (Members Only)

July 30: Sugar Rush at the Park 5:30-7:30pm Whitt Johnson Park

A Community Arts & Crafts Project---Make sure to come by Colonial Park and Check out "Willy" - The West U Parks Rock Snake - Residents are encouraged to find different size rocks, paint them, and add them to the body of "Willy" the community rock snake. Let's see how long Willy will get during Parks and Recreation Month!!
