MFA Crisis Cell monitors the situation in the Middle East

Update on security developments in the region

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova informs that, in the context of a significant deterioration of the security situation in the region, the MFA Crisis Cell is active, continuously monitoring developments and coordinating the work of the Republic of Moldova's diplomatic missions.

Essential information for citizens:

State of Israel

• Stay in missile shelters and strictly follow the instructions of the local authorities.

• Do not leave protected areas until an official announcement is made.

• Temporary disruptions to communications are possible.

• Air strikes are ongoing.

State of Qatar

• Airspace is closed.

• Avoid crowded areas, public demonstrations, and the vicinity of government buildings, military facilities and law enforcement institutions.

• Consider sheltering at home.

Republic of Azerbaijan

• The Azerbaijan-Iran land border remains closed for regular passenger crossings.

• Emergency departures are possible only with prior institutional coordination.

• Travel to Iran is advised against.

• Citizens currently in Iran are urged to identify available exit routes depending on their location, after contacting diplomatic or consular missions in advance.

• Flights are affected; air evacuations are possible only if approved corridors are available.

Republic of Türkiye

• Flights from Türkiye to Iran are temporarily suspended.

• The Türkiye-Iran land border remains open, but controls have been intensified.

• Significant delays at border crossing points are possible.

• At this stage, there is no official announcement regarding a complete border closure.
