Ag Committee Advances Under Secretary of Agriculture for Rural Development Nominee

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman John Boozman (R-AR) led the committee in advancing the U.S. Department of Agriculture nomination of Glen Smith to serve as Under Secretary of Agriculture for Rural Development.

"USDA plays a critical role in strengthening the quality of life in rural America through investments that support economic opportunity, essential services and community development. Glen Smith's leadership will be instrumental in ensuring rural communities have the tools and resources to meet the needs of the people they serve well into the future.
