Investigation about OPET Concluded

The investigation conducted per Competition Board Decision dated 20.02.2025 and numbered 25-07/158-M in order to determine whether Opet Petrolcülük AŞ (OPET) violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition by means of vertical agreements it made with its dealers has been concluded with settlement.

While the investigation process, which is related to the allegation that the term of the lease right granted in favor of OPET for the land on which dealer operations were carried out was extended and in this way the vertical agreement between the complainant dealer and OPET was arranged to exceed five years, was ongoing, OPET made a settlement application, and the Competition Board took the decision dated 26.06.2025 and numbered 25-23/549-356 that OPET violated article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition through vertical agreements including non-compete obligations; thus shall be imposed 131.308.900,95-TL administrative fines, and the investigation shall be concluded with settlement.
