Several projects are underway in Rancho Cordova. Here's the latest from the city's Public Works team.
Lincoln Village Neighborhood
Soon, construction will begin on a traffic calming project in the Lincoln Village neighborhood. The project is the result of requests from the community for improvements to enhance safety and reduce travel speeds along Lincoln Village Drive. Planned improvements include a traffic circle at Lincoln Village Drive and Explorer Drive (West), as well as median islands, hardened centerlines, speed lumps, and bulb-outs.
Additionally, this week, in preparation of a future paving project, markings will be made throughout the Lincoln Village neighborhood to identify utilities in the area. There will also be other engineering investigations including soil testing and surveyors. Temporary traffic control may be set up to allow workers to safely work within the roadways. Travel the area with caution and stay tuned for more information about the project.
Sunrise Boulevard
Construction on Sunrise Boulevard between Kiefer Boulevard and Douglas Road continues. All pavement work is now complete. Over the next few weeks, construction crews will adjust utility covers and re-stripe the road. As part of project construction, there will be occasional lane closures on Sunrise Boulevard. Motorists will have access to the Anatolia neighborhood area via Herodian Drive, Chyrsanthy Boulevard, Bosphorus Drive and Justinian Drive with occasional detours.
Please plan for additional driving time, follow construction signage and travel the area with caution. The project will be completed in October 2025.
