Elmedin Konaković, Bosnia and Herzegovina's Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Tana de Zulueta, the Head of the Election Observation Mission from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), and her team.
The meeting focused on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and preparations for the upcoming General Elections. The meeting especially emphasized the need for a transparent, credible, and democratic electoral process.
Minister Konaković expressed his full support for the Mission's work and its mandate to evaluate the conduct of the elections in accordance with domestic laws, OSCE commitments, and other international standards for democratic elections. He highlighted that maintaining the integrity of the electoral process is essential to ensure that every vote is protected, that election results genuinely reflect the democratic will of the citizens, and that the public's confidence in the electoral process and its institutions remains intact.
The interlocutors expressed their willingness to continue close cooperation and maintain open dialogue throughout the electoral process, to enhance its transparency, credibility, and public trust.
