M-77 detoured for emergency culvert repairs in Schoolcraft County starting July 6

NEWBERRY, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be making emergency repairs to the M-77 culvert at Lake Ann Louise, north of Blaney Park, Schoolcraft County, beginning July 6. The project is expected to be completed by July 31.

M-77 will be closed at the culvert, with northbound and southbound traffic between M-28 and US-2 detoured via M-117. The detour is expected to be in place until July 23.

Work will stabilize a concrete culvert damaged by water and restore the pavement.

Closing the roadway is necessary to keep motorists safe, expedite repairs, and prevent further damage to the roadway.
