City Offices Closed Tuesday, Nov. 11
DeKalb municipal offices will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The community is invited to a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Clock at First Street and Lincoln Highway in downtown DeKalb. The ceremony hosted by the DeKalb American Legion will include:
- Opening Remarks, Michael Embrey, USAF Veteran
- "Star Spangled Banner," Ron Lofton, US Army Veteran
- Veteran's Prayer, Mike Giuliano, USAF Veteran, Legion Chaplin
- Wreath Laying, Manuel Olalde, US Marine Veteran, Legion Commander
- Honor Guard Presentation, Mike Giuliano, USAF Veteran
- "Taps," Michael Embrey, USAF Veteran
