Ascension Texas Appoints Cameron Duncan as Chief Advocacy Officer

Ascension Texas is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Duncan as its new Chief Advocacy Officer.

In this role, Cameron will be dedicated to advancing Ascension's mission of providing compassionate, personalized care to all, with a particular focus on serving the poor and vulnerable.

"Cameron's commitment to mission-driven healthcare will be invaluable as we advocate for our patients and communities," said Jamie Youseff, CEO of Ascension Texas. "We are thrilled to welcome him to our team."

Cameron brings 14 years of experience in government affairs and health policy to the position. His career in healthcare includes significant roles with the Texas Hospital Association, a large emergency physician group, and the Texas Attorney General's Office. Most recently, he served as the head of state government relations for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, where he advised senior leaders on key policy and regulatory matters.

Cameron holds a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a bachelor's degree from Fordham University.
