HONOLULU- Acting Lieutenant Governor and DAGS Director Keith Regan on Saturday decided to extend a civil rights photo exhibit due to overwhelming popularity. The 28 framed photographs depict Hawaiʻi marchers in the famous 1965 Selma to Mongtomery march led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The exhibit was to end on July 7. It will now be up through July 31 during office hours at the Lieutenant Governor's Ceremonial Room.
After that, the Hawaiʻi State Archives (a division of DAGS) will keep them. The Archives also plans to post digital versions of the photographs on its website.
