Good afternoon. Let me start today's briefing.
On the morning of Thursday, October 16, Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun will meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Maria Malmer Stenergard who will accompany Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband on their visit to Korea.
Korea and Sweden have advanced their friendly and cooperative ties in various sectors including political affairs, economy and culture, since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1959.
In the meeting, the two sides will discuss ways to step up cooperation in such areas as economy, science and technology, and energy, and will exchange views on key regional and global issues.
