Maryville University is pleased to welcome Jason Woods as Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Recruitment, within the Strategic Enrollment and Marketing division. Jason brings more than 25 years of higher education leadership experience, with a career built around enrollment management, student affairs, and organizational change. Most recently, Jason has been serving as Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he led enrollment and student affairs strategy for more than seven years.
Prior to St. Cloud State, Jason held progressively senior enrollment and student affairs leadership roles at Western Illinois University, Loras College, Ashford University and Wartburg College, offering him a rare, ground-level understanding of how students are recruited and supported across a wide range of institution types. He earned his doctorate in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University, a master's degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and a bachelor's degree from Loras College. In 2007, Jason co-founded the Intercultural Allies for Higher Education, an organization that brings college leaders and students together to advance belonging practices on campus.
At Maryville, Jason will directly impact the Saints Plan by building and leading a bold, data-informed undergraduate recruitment strategy that strengthens the University's enrollment pipeline and student experience from first contact forward. He is looking forward to connecting with high school counselors and community partners across the region to share how students of all backgrounds can achieve more at Maryville.
