WHY:
This project reflects an ongoing effort to transform the Miami-Dade Schools Police Headquarters into a space that embodies safety, service, and pride, while creating
an environment that supports both officers and the community.
In partnership with students from Robert Morgan Educational Center & Technical College, the installation highlights the excellence, innovation, and real-world skills
being developed in our schools, as students applied their welding expertise to create a permanent feature at our headquarters.
More than a beautification effort, this collaboration showcases how education and public service come together to strengthen community connections and invest in
the next generation.
VISUALS:
A custom aluminum badge welded by students in the Welding Technology program, with interview opportunities with the Chief of Police, Police Explorers, and students.
