ST. CHARLES COUNTY - Crews with the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project will close all eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at the Route T/W Foristell interchange overnight November 18-21. Crews will be setting bridge girders that require large cranes and swinging materials over the interstate. All work is weather permitting.
Crews will close all lanes overnight between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. during intermittent 15-minute durations. One eastbound lane and one westbound lane will close first and then both eastbound and westbound lanes will close as the girders are placed at the interchange.
This work is part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70. It was awarded in November 2024. Construction is tentatively set to take place 2025-2028.
Missouri's FY2024 budget, approved through the state legislative process and signed into law by the governor, provides $2.8 billion in General Revenue to build a third lane of I-70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
