Looking for a way to make a difference in your community? The City of DeSoto is inviting residents to discover volunteer opportunities that match their interests, talents and passions during the upcoming Volunteer Fair.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 6 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Room at the DeSoto Civic Center, 211 E. Pleasant Run Road.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from a variety of City volunteer programs, learn how each organization serves the community and find the opportunity that's the right fit. Whether you're interested in emergency preparedness, public safety, beautification, library services or other community initiatives, there's a place for you to get involved.

Volunteering is more than giving your time, it's an opportunity to make a lasting impact, build new connections, develop valuable skills and help strengthen the DeSoto community.

Residents are encouraged to register in advance by scanning the event QR code or visiting the registration link. After registering, participants will receive additional information prior to the event.
