The IT Security Survey 2027 Is Now Open: How Secure Is Your Company? Take Part Now!

How well equipped are companies today to deal with current cyber threats? How far have they progressed with implementing NIS2? And what does it really take to remain operational in an emergency?
With the IT Security Survey 2027, the Security Competence Group at eco Association once again aims to explore these questions and gain an up-to-date picture of the situation in practice.

The IT Security Survey 2026 showed that companies are becoming increasingly professional in their handling of cyber incidents, but remain under significant pressure to adapt:

42 per cent of the IT security experts surveyed reported an increase in relevant security incidents compared with the previous year, while just under a third of companies experienced noticeable impacts from attacks - such as business interruptions, data exfiltration or extortion attempts. One thing became particularly clear: for SMEs, implementing regulatory requirements such as NIS2 remains a major challenge.

Now it is time for the next round. The IT Security Survey 2027 will focus on topics including:

  • Current threat landscapes and cyberattacks
  • NIS2, regulation and supply chains
  • Contingency planning, recovery and down time
  • Cyber hygiene, attack detection and AI
  • Specific approaches to strengthening cyber resilience

Taking part takes just a few minutes. The more perspectives we gather, the more meaningful the overall picture will be. We look forward to your participation!
