Building a Stronger Global Network: WEC Welcomes New Member from the Middle East

The World Employment Confederation's General Assembly, held on December 4, 2025, confirmed the renewal of several Board mandates and welcomed the Dubai Staffing Business Group (DSBG) as a new member. These decisions reinforce WEC's commitment to global representation and its efforts to promote ethical recruitment and fair employment opportunities in the Middle East.

On December 4, 2025, the General Assembly of the World Employment Confederation (WEC) convened to take important governance and membership decisions.

Several Board members' mandates were up for renewal. The Assembly unanimously endorsed all candidates to continue in their roles for another term:

  • Regional Representative Latin America: Jose Augusto Figueiredo (LHH, Brazil)
  • Regional Representative North America: Stephen Dwyer (ASA, United States)
  • Gi Group Holding Representative: Antonio Bonardo
  • Board Member: Neil Carberry (REC, United Kingdom)

The General Assembly also approved the membership application of the Dubai Staffing Business Group (DSBG) as a new WEC National Federation member. As the HR services industry continues to grow across the Middle East, WEC has strengthened its engagement in the region to advance ethical recruitment practices, promote compliance with international standards and foster decent and fair employment opportunities.
