Honoring the Women Who Power Our Purpose

As Women's History Month comes to a close, we pause to recognize and celebrate the remarkable women of Santa Margarita Water District.

Across every part of our organization-engineering, executive leadership, field operations, customer care, public affairs, human resources, finance, water use efficiency, administration, and our Board of Directors -women at SMWD lead with intelligence, resilience, and purpose. They are planners, builders, problem-solvers, communicators, and caretakers of one of life's most essential resources.

Water is our most precious resource-above everything else. And the work these women do every day helps keep it accessible, affordable, and sustainable for generations to come.

From designing and maintaining critical infrastructure to supporting customers to advancing innovation and stewardship, their contributions make a lasting difference in the communities we serve. Their leadership strengthens the systems that protect public health, support fire protection, and make the quality of life we know in South Orange County possible

This month-and every month-we honor the women of SMWD whose dedication, expertise, and values-driven leadership continue to shape a stronger, more resilient future.
