The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts is grateful for the volunteer efforts of practitioners and law students on pro bono and public service matters. To enable the Court to recognize such individuals, the Court is pleased to announce it is accepting certifications from those individual attorneys and law students who provided pro bono services or participated in certain public service programs during the period of September 1, 2024, to September 1, 2025. To be acknowledged, attorneys must submit a certification that they have met the criteria established by the Court's Pro Bono Legal Services Advisory Committee. Law students who have met the criteria must also submit a certification, along with the acknowledgement of the attorney supervisor. Participation is entirely voluntary. Completed certifications should be sent to [email protected].
The Court will provide public recognition on the Twelfth Annual Pro Bono and Public Service Honor Roll on its website of individuals who submit certifications by October 17, 2025, and wish to be listed. The Court encourages volunteers to submit certifications even if they do not wish to be listed on the public Honor Roll, to enable the Court to provide a private recognition of their efforts.
