The City of West Hollywood's Holloway Interim Housing Program is bringing hope, stability, and dignity to community members experiencing chronic homelessness. Located at the former Holloway Motel, the 20-room site provides up to 90 days of safe interim housing and comprehensive supportive services to help residents transition into permanent housing. The program is operated by the City's nonprofit partner, Ascencia.
As part of the City of West Hollywood's ongoing efforts to address homelessness, the Holloway Interim Housing Program reflects a strong commitment to compassionate, locally focused solutions that connect people to care, essential resources, and long-term housing pathways. Community support plays a vital role in the program's success. The City invites community members to donate new items that help residents feel comfortable, supported, and welcomed as they begin their path toward stability and independence.
To encourage community participation, the City of West Hollywood will host a one-day donation drop-off event to benefit the Holloway Interim Housing Program on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the West Hollywood City Hall Community Plaza, located at 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard; the Community Plaza is accessible via N. Sweetzer Avenue, behind City Hall. City staff and program partners from Ascencia will be onsite to accept donations, provide information about the program, and answer questions about how community contributions directly support residents on their journey toward permanent housing.
Items currently needed include hygiene products; new clothing such as socks, shoes, underwear, bras, T-shirts, sweatpants, and hoodies; linens and bedding; individually packed snacks and drinks; phone chargers; and basic household essentials such as laundry detergent and laundry baskets. Donations of new, unused items help ensure residents receive essential supplies in a safe and dignified manner.
In addition to donating items, community members may support the Holloway Interim Housing Program through financial contributions, volunteer opportunities, and by helping raise awareness about the program's impact.
