House Appropriations Subcommittee on Human Resources and Judiciary Juvenile Committee to Host Joint Meeting in Atlanta Tomorrow

ATLANTA - The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Human Resources, chaired by State Representative Katie Dempsey (R-Rome), and the Judiciary Juvenile Committee, chaired by State Representative Beth Camp (R-Concord), will hold a joint meeting TOMORROW, Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

The following organizations are scheduled to testify before the committee: the Department of Early Care and Learning, the Department of Public Health, the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Voices for Georgia Children and the Family Connection Partnership.

The committee will also hear testimony from: Wellroot, Barton Child Law and Policy Center, Faithbridge Foster Care, Family Menders, ProFamily Georgia, Creative Community Services, Youth Villages, Multi-Agency Alliance for Children, Families 4 Families, Murphy-Harpst Children's Centers and the Department of Human Services.

Commissioner Candace L. Broce of the Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Family & Children Services will be present during the afternoon portion of the committee meeting.
