READOUT: Under Secretary for International Affairs Jay Shambaugh’s Meeting with Minister of Finance Vera Daves de Sousa of Angola

WASHINGTON - Yesterday, Under Secretary for International Affairs Jay Shambaugh met with Angola's Minister of Finance Vera Daves de Sousa on the margins of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group. Under Secretary Shambaugh reaffirmed the partnership between the United States and Angola. The Minister and the Under Secretary discussed Angola's economic outlook, its approach to attracting private investment to Angola, and efforts underway to support economic diversification. They also agreed to continue the productive relationship between the United States Department of the Treasury and Angola's Ministry of Finance.
