TORRANCE, Calif., July 28, 2025 - Torrance Memorial Medical Center has been recognized as the Best Hospital 2025-26 for 14th year by U.S. News & World Report, placing the hospital in the top 3% in California.
Torrance Memorial has impressively improved their rankings and is now ranked 8th in overall hospital quality in California and 3rd in the Los Angeles/Orange County region. The hospital rated "high performing" in seven specialties and achieved national ranking in Orthopedics (#35), OB/GYN (#42) and Geriatrics (#50). Additionally, it ranked "high performing" in 18 common adult procedures and conditions.

Torrance Memorial extends congratulations to our affiliate partners Cedars-Sinai Health System, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which tied for #1 in California, and Huntington Health, which tied at #10 statewide.
U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions. Only 13% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation.

The Best Hospitals rankings are based on rigorous analysis of data including risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and levels of nursing care. Specialty rankings methodology and procedure and conditions ratings methodology draw on outcomes from more than 800 million patient records.
