Sacramento and West Sacramento - Caltrans is advising motorists of overnight construction work for westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) beginning Saturday,
December 6 to Sunday, December 7 from the Interstate 80 (I-80) and Interstate 5 (I-5) interchange to the U.S. Highway 50 (US 50) and I-80 interchange.
All westbound I-80 lanes will be closed during overnight construction as part of the ongoing $280 million Yolo 80/US 50 Pavement Rehabilitation Project. Workers will be doing an overnight shift by relocating k-rail and restriping for a new westbound configuration.
Motorists are reminded that the construction zone speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph in Yolo County on US 50 to I-80 in West Sacramento and onto Davis.
