[Updated as of 7 March 2026 at 3:45PM (GMT +8)] AirAsia X flights impacted by Middle East airspace closure

SEPANG, 7 March 2026 - Following the temporary closure of the Middle East airspace and recent geopolitical developments, several flights operating to/from the region may experience disruptions, including rerouting, delays or schedule adjustments.

As a result, the cancellation of flights operated by Thai AirAsia X (XJ) to and from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has been extended until 8 March (Sunday).

AirAsia has notified all affected guests via email and SMS on their flight status and recovery options. The situation remains fluid and AirAsia guests travelling to/from the affected destinations are strongly encouraged to check their latest flight status at airasia.com/flightstatus.

AirAsia is continuing to monitor the situation and will update its travel advisory with the resumption of normal operations.
