SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (November 3, 2026) From November 7-16, residents across Oahu will experience increased military vehicle traffic, helicopter flights and large cargo aircraft activity as Army units participate in an annual training exercise called Joint Pacific Readiness Center (JPMRC).

Training will take place primarily at Kahuku Training Area, Kawaihapai Airfield, Barbers Point, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Wheeler Army Airfield and Schofield Barracks.

Additional military activity is expected to continue through November 25 as Army units conduct reception, staging, onward movement and integration (RSOI) operations. These activities support the arrival, organization, movement and preparation of military personnel and equipment associated with this exercise. Residents may continue to notice military vehicles and aircraft operating in and around Army installations during this period.

Training will occur during daytime and nighttime hours and is subject to change. Weather, such as overcast conditions and Kona winds (southerly) can increase noise and vibrations. Should individuals hear noise, there is no immediate danger.

To report concerns related to noise or training, contact the U.S. Army Hawaii's Community Concern Line at (808) 766-7778 or [email protected]. Concerns are responded to during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The military appreciates the understanding and continued support of the local community. While sometimes loud, this training is critical to ensure military units and service members are ready to accomplish their mission and return home safely.
