Tokyo, November 19, 2024 - Rakuten Group, Inc. and L'Oréal Japan today announced that the two companies have agreed to start discussions on a partnership to further improve customer experiences in the beauty industry.

The collaboration will focus on providing personalized beauty solutions by integrating Rakuten's advanced AI technology and extensive marketing data with the L'Oréal Group's cutting-edge beauty technology. Leveraging data from the Rakuten Ecosystem with businesses spanning e-commerce, mobile communications and fintech and over 100 million members in Japan, the partnership aims to provide highly personalized beauty solutions.

Additionally, through collaborations with L'Oréal's AI beauty content lab, CREAITECH, and its personal beauty assistant, Beauty Genius, Rakuten will enhance the user interface and user experience on its platforms to provide more personalized customer experiences, ultimately offering the best beauty solutions for everyone.
