Kansas City to celebrate bridge restoration on Raytown Road
For immediate release: Thursday, August 6, 2026
Kansas City is cutting a ribbon on Monday, August 10, to celebrate completing bridge restoration on Raytown Road over Lumpkins Fork. The project involved replacing a closed bridge on SE Raytown Road between Highway 150 and E 137th Street. The bridge will officially reopen to drivers after the ceremony.
When: Monday, August 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.
Where: On the bridge on SE Raytown Road where it passes over the Lumpkins Fork Stream (in between Highway 150 and E 137th Street).
Parking: Attendees park behind the barricades on either side of the bridge.
Agenda: Remarks will be delivered by Mayor Pro Tem and 5th District Councilmember Ryana Parks-Shaw, 5th District at Large Councilmember Darrell Curls, and Assistant City Manager Jeff Martin.
Members of the public and media are encouraged to attend.
