NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
LAS 35777
ALASKA NATIVE TRIBAL HEALTH CONSORTIUM

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: ALASKA NATIVE TRIBAL HEALTH CONSORTIUM

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35777

ENCLOSED DOCUMENTS:

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: An approximately one-mile section of beach on the Bering Sea starting from the northern end of the village of Tununak on the northwest side of Nelson Island.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Township 6 North, Range 91 West, Section 28, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is requesting authorization for year-round cross country travel on the beach of Tununak in support of the transportation of gravel and construction materials from a staging area to the wastewater treatment construction site. The equipment utilized will include dump trucks, pick-up trucks, a wheel loader, excavators, roller compactors, a skid steer, and dozers.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: February 1, 2026
End: January 31, 2031

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: January 28, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
