Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua Attends Handover Ceremony for Water Pumps Donated by Chinese Enterprise to the Maldives

On November 10th, a handover ceremony for water pumps donated by China Machinery Engineering Corporation Group to the Government of the Maldives was held at the Hulhumale Central Park Phase I.President Dr Muizzu attended the ceremony. Ambassador Kong Xianhua, Maldivian Minister of Defense Ghassan, Maldivian Minister of Infrastructure Muththalib, and CMEC General Manager Fang Yanshui were also present.

The donated equipment includes six diesel-powered water pump units of three different models, which can be widely used in urban flood control, drainage, emergency drainage, and water supply security. These  water pumps will effectively enhance the emergency drainage capacity of the capital region of Male, playing a positive role in protecting the lives and property of local residents and promoting sustainable urban development.
