Clarksville Parks & Recreation Hosts Spring Fling at The Hub

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Parks & Recreation will host The Hub: Spring Fling on Friday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Burt-Cobb Recreation Center. This special edition of The Hub is focused on serving adults ages 50 and up, but all are welcome to attend and take part in a morning filled with health, connection, and hands-on activities.

The Hub is a recurring community wellness event aimed at promoting inclusivity and enhancing the quality of life for underrepresented populations. By connecting residents with local organizations, wellness providers, and community resources, The Hub creates opportunities for meaningful engagement and empowers individuals with tools to thrive.

This Spring Fling will feature a wide variety of activities and resources, including:

  • Blood Drive presented by Blood Assurance (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m)
    • Register in advance at bloodassurance.org/burtcobb
  • Emergency Preparedness Session led by the American Red Cross
  • Guest Speaker: Historical Interpreter William Parker presenting The Jimi Hendrix Experience
  • Make and Take Pickle Making Station
  • Salsa Samples and Recipes provided by Manna Café
  • Coffee courtesy of Chick-fil-A on Madison Street
  • Light Lunch sponsored by The Gathering Place
  • Plant Clipping Swap in the Game Room
  • Drawings for Prizes, including pool and golf passes
  • Over 16 Community Resource Partners offering information and giveaways
