Charlotte County residents now have access to brain, spine surgery closer to where they live

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - A Charlotte County resident who once had to drive more than an hour to see a neurosurgeon can now receive care just minutes from home.

AdventHealth has opened AdventHealth Medical Group Neurosurgery at Port Charlotte, bringing brain and spine care to patients across Charlotte County and surrounding areas.

Led by neurosurgeon Dr. Amrith Jamoona, the practice treats a wide range of conditions affecting the brain and spine, including brain tumors, aneurysms, stroke-related conditions and spinal disorders.

Dr. Jamoona recently relocated to Port Charlotte after recognizing the need for more neurosurgical services in the region.
