Josh Laurito Named SVP, Data at The New York Times

Working closely with newsroom, product, engineering, and business leaders, he will build and evolve the data ecosystem that fuels our journalism, powers our products, and underpins our strategic decision-making. That includes defining a unified data strategy, delivering a robust data platform that serves as the backbone for all of our products, using machine learning to further our goals, and advocating for more democratized access to high-quality data and insights across the company. Equally important, he will build and grow world-class teams - attracting strong talent, developing people, and creating an environment where they can do their best work.

Mr. Laurito joins The Times from Squarespace, where he served as vice president, Applied Data and Insights. There, he led the company's data strategy across engineering, analytics, and machine learning, delivering critical AI-powered user features and supporting the company's growth through its public offering.
