Anne Loccisano Named Academy of Toxicological Sciences Fellow

Exponent health sciences consultant recognized by scientific peers and leading international organization in the field of toxicology

Anne Loccisano, Ph.D., DABT, a managing scientist in Exponent's Health Sciences practice, has been honored as an Academy of Toxicological Sciences (ATS) Fellow.

Established in 1981, the ATS is a global nonprofit organization that seeks to ensure a standard of quality in the field through recognition and certification of toxicologists who "have demonstrated evidence of knowledge of toxicology and active involvement in toxicological activities." The ATS recognizes fellows following thorough reviews by their peers in the scientific community, representing a major career achievement that reflects "the competence and experience of professionals whose work affects public welfare."

Dr. Loccisano is a board-certified toxicologist who specializes in human exposure assessment relating to chemical and drug exposures. At Exponent, her research and consulting work focuses on human health exposure and risk assessment, disease causation analysis, and the development and application of pharmacokinetic modeling techniques to advise clients on potential human exposures and resulting toxicological risks.

An active member of the Society of Toxicology, Society for Risk Analysis, and the American Chemical Society, Division of Chemical Toxicology, Dr. Loccisano earned her Ph.D. in chemistry from Duquesne University and an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Allegheny College.
