Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen's (D-Nev.) resolution congratulating the Las Vegas Aces on winning the 2025 Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) Championship unanimously passed the Senate. The Ace's October 10th sweeping victory over the Phoenix Mercury was their third WNBA championship in four years.
"I'm so proud of our Las Vegas Aces for bringing the WNBA championship back home where it belongs," said Senator Cortez Masto. "Their resilience, hard work, and exceptional play on the court showed the country yet again that A'ja and the Aces are a modern WNBA dynasty and among the greatest of all time. Congratulations to our three-time champions!"
"The road to a WNBA championship runs through Las Vegas - and for the third time in four years, ends right where it should," said Senator Rosen. "I couldn't be prouder of our Las Vegas Aces for bringing home another championship and establishing themselves as one of the greatest WNBA dynasties of all time. I can't wait to see this team hit the court again next season!"

Las Vegas is a sports town, and Senator Cortez Masto has consistently worked to support its local teams and the major sporting events that bolster the Southern Nevada economy and keep Vegas a globally-renowned destination. Earlier this year, she introduced the WAGER Act to protect legal sportsbook and gaming businesses. She has urged both the NFL and FIFA to take steps to prevent human trafficking at the Super Bowl and the World Cup, making the events safer for all sports fans. The Senators have honored Nevada excellence, from the 2025 U.S. Little League World Series Champions from Summerlin to the Aces' previous 2022 and 2023 titles. Following the Golden Knights' 2023 Stanley Cup victory, Cortez Masto hosted the Stanley Cup in the United States Capitol to honor the team.
