Community Stroke Awareness Day at Memorial Hospital Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, TN - CommonSpirit - Memorial Hospital is hosting a Community Stroke Awareness Day on Saturday, August 29, 2026, to provide the public with the knowledge and tools necessary to prevent and recognize strokes.

Strokes are a medical emergency where every second counts. By increasing community awareness on warning signs and risk factors, Memorial Hospital hopes to improve outcomes for residents across the Chattanooga and North Georgia communities.

The event will feature:

  • Informative lectures and Q&As: Healthcare experts will lead discussions on stroke risk factors, early warning signs, and evidence-based prevention strategies.

  • Free health screenings: Attendees can receive complimentary blood pressure checks and blood glucose screenings.

  • Resource fair: A variety of local health services and resources will be available, along with small giveaways for participants.

  • Light refreshments: Attendees will be provided with healthy snacks throughout the morning.
