Chairwoman McClain Stands With Female Athletes at Supreme Court Rally

WASHINGTON-Today, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain joined female athletes, parents, and women leaders on the steps of the United States Supreme Court to demand fairness, safety, and integrity in women's sports.

McClain-who coached her daughter's softball team for over a decade -reaffirmed that Title IX must protect women and girls by recognizing sex based on biological reality.

Remarks as prepared for delivery:

Let me say this loud and clear: men do not belong in women's sports. Period.

I'm Lisa McClain. I'm a mom. I'm an athlete. And for more than a decade, I coached a girls' softball team.

I spent hundreds of hours on dusty fields watching girls learn discipline, grit, and what it means to earn a fair win. I know competition. I know sacrifice. And I know this truth: biology is not a feeling; it's not a trend. It is reality.

Today, hardworking female athletes are being forced to fight for basic rights they should already have: safety, fairness, privacy, and a level playing field.

As we stand here in front of the United States Supreme Court, my colleagues across the aisle suddenly can't tell you what a woman is.

It is truly astonishing. They've spent decades claiming to be the 'party of women,' but the second reality clashes with their insane woke agenda, they suddenly don't care about women at all. Give me a break!

The radical Left wants our daughters to believe their hard work doesn't matter. That their safety comes second to a woke agenda.

Well, I'm here to say: NOT ON OUR WATCH.

I've seen young women give everything to their sport. Early mornings. Long practices. Wins and losses.

To see that effort taken away by biological men competing against them is wrong. It's NOT inclusive to steal a scholarship from a girl. It's NOT compassionate to force a girl to share a locker room with a man.

Instead, it betrays every woman who fought for Title IX.

Let's call this what it is: disgusting bullying. It is the tactic of a man who can't compete with other men, so he invades a woman's space to feel like a winner. It's a cowards' shortcut that destroys the integrity of the game.

It's pathetic. It's disgusting and we WON'T have it.

I'm proud to say House Republicans acted. We passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act to keep Title IX doing what it was meant to do - protect women - by defining sex based on biology.

But we need the Supreme Court to act alongside us. Today, the Supreme Court hears the truth. They hear the truth and I pray they take from it a simple message: follow the science, follow the law, and protect our girls.

To the athletes here today: we have your back.

It's time to end the woke nonsense and get back to fair play.
