Storefront Art features student artists

Dunwoody, GA (May 2026) Create Dunwoody presents the 5th annual Storefront Art Exhibit, a community arts initiative that brings student artwork into local business storefronts across Dunwoody Village. The exhibit highlights Dunwoody High School student artists while encouraging the community to explore and support local businesses.

This year's selected artwork will be installed in participating Dunwoody Village business locations in early May and will remain on display through August. A map with locations of this year's artwork will be available on the Create Dunwoody Storefront Art webpage: https://www.createdunwoody.org/storefront-art

This year, 15 students were chosen out of more than 85 submissions, the largest number of submissions to date.

"Seeing my work displayed in the community at Perimeter Mall, on a traffic signal box, and again this year in a business is amazing," said Dunwoody High School Senior Monserrat Mora, selected for the second year in a row. "It motivates me to keep creating, and I love knowing that people might discover my art while they're out doing everyday things in Dunwoody."

Dunwoody High School art teachers Amy Goertemiller and Claire Zimmerman helped motivate participating students and kept them on track throughout the creation and submission process.

Local businesses make the exhibit possible by volunteering their windows and supporting student artists. "We're proud to partner with Create Dunwoody to spotlight these talented students and make art part of the everyday experience in Dunwoody Village," said Dawn Tresh, owner of Dunwoody Gallery, a returning host location and sponsor of the program. "The Storefront Art Exhibit brings fresh energy into our business community and gives young artists a meaningful platform to be seen."

The exhibit is supported by sponsors including Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, represented by Kerry Arias, and the City of Dunwoody as a community partner.

Select artworks may be available for purchase, chosen for future placement through the Greenlight Art Project on traffic signal boxes, or installed at Perimeter Mall after the summer.
