Coming Up On Allegro! -- Randy Porter and Jack Radsliff
It's a week from this Friday, June 26th
You may not know his name, but when I tell other pianists that Randy will be playing at my house they go, "Ooooooooooh!!" Randy is a grammy-nominated pianists' pianist. "A knowledgeable, inventive, and sophisticated player with a remarkable sense of time and gorgeous keyboard facility..."
Guitarist and composer Jack Radsliff is no slouch either. A first-call guitarist, his albums Migration Patterns and Barefoot can be found on critics' "best of" lists.
Luckily for us, both of these musicians live just down the road in Portland. Jack brought his trio to my house early this year, and when he heard/saw my piano said, "I've gotta get Randy up here."
So here they come! I want to be sure we make their hike up the freeway worthwhile, so I'm asking $30 for the basket, but bring what you can.
Doors open at 7pm, with a downbeat of 7:30. As usual I'll have snacks and n/a beverages, but you're welcome to bring beer or wine and favorite munchies to add to the mix.
I'm expecting to fill my house with folks for this one, so let me know you're coming soon. I want to make sure I have a chair for you!
