Joining an AEM Safety & Product Leadership Group Is Now Just a Click Away

Have skills and technical expertise to offer AEM? Want to make an impact in support of non-road equipment manufacturing and the industries it serves? Consider joining one of AEM's many Safety & Product Leadership Technical Groups.

AEM's Safety & Product Leadership (S&PL) Groups bring together member companies and industry leaders to address technical, regulatory, and safety challenges across the association and the industry as a whole.

"We're always in need of volunteers from our member companies to help continue to drive our industry forward," said AEM Safety & Product Leadership Technical Coordinator Alyssa Pfarr. "Those willing to participate will get a uniquely valuable opportunity to collaborate on important issues and set in motion industry-wide initiatives."

New Self-Service Tool Launched

To make it as easy as possible for member company representatives to confirm their involvement and participation in Safety & Product Leadership Groups, AEM recently launched a self-service tool.

The tool not only allows members to instantly join or leave AEM committees and councils, but it also improves visibility into groups in which they are currently enrolled. It is designed exclusively for AEM members.

To use the tool, go through the following steps, or watch the video below:

  • Log into AEM.org or create an account.
  • In the "Member Dashboard" under "Member Tools", click "Manage your technical group participation."
  • Navigate the list of councils and committees.
  • Checked boxes indicate involvement in a committee or council.
  • Once any edits are made, click "save."
  • Be on the lookout for welcome information from AEM.

"Members should note, however, that if someone leaves the company, roster changes should still go through your dedicated company representative or AEM staff lead," explained Pfarr.

Get Involved

Volunteering through AEM groups offers a unique chance to not only network and interact with peers, exchange ideas, and learn from others, but also be part of the next generation of ambassadors for the non-road equipment manufacturing industry.

"So, if your company is a member of AEM, and you have skills and expertise to offer the association, take a moment to consider joining a technical group," said Pfarr. "All that's required is a small amount of time to make a big difference for AEM, our members, and non-road equipment manufacturers everywhere."
