Roundabout near High Point complete…

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo . - Drivers na vigating the junction of Missouri Route 87 and Moniteau County Route C near High Point no longer need to stop at the temporary signals . All portions of the roundabout ar e open , and the temporary signals were removed on Fri day, Jan. 9 , 2026 .

Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation began the intersection improvement project in early June 2025 , installing temporary signals to allow the intersection to remain open during construction . Although the roundabout is complete, some traffic control measures still need to be install ed , which will require lane closures with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. All work is weather-permitting and subject to change.

As everyone gets accustomed to the new configuration, motorists should use extra caution and follow all posted signs. To learn more about the benefits of roundabouts and how to navigate them, visit Roundabouts | Missouri Department of Transportation .
