Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fires on Larsen Avenue and Avalon Road

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to two structure fires last night.
Larsen Avenue fire
At 8:39 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a bungalow in the 500 block of Larsen Avenue.
At the scene, crews found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house. Firefighters used an offensive attack, and they declared the fire under control at 9:08 p.m.
Paramedics assessed one patient and transported them to hospital in unstable condition.
The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
Avalon Road fire
At 12:32 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, WFPS responded to reports of a fire in a house in the 0-100 block of Avalon Road.
At the scene, firefighters located a fire and attacked it. They declared the fire under control at 1:21 a.m.
Paramedics assessed one patient and transported them to hospital in stable condition. The fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
